In loving memory of Rev Elsie Dodd, founder of Link Vision

Rev Elsie Dodd, who founded Link Vision (formerly aid for the Blind), with her husband Gordon 53 years ago, has passed peacefully. She was almost 98.

With Gordon, it was her vision and determination that made Link Vision the successful charity it is today. Their passion to ‘enhance the lives of people with low or no vision’ has been passed down through the ages and has never wavered. Our community is deeply indebted to her.

In recognition of her service to the community, Elsie was a finalist the Pride of Australia Awards in 2014.

Elsie’s family have requested no flowers, and rather that people might like to consider donating to Link Vision, instead. Elsie’s strength and stoicism has been the hallmark of Link Vision and she will be dearly missed.
